Why not bring your topic to life by adding a Big Question package to your booking?
Explore topics such as Ancient Egypt, Dinosaurs and Natural History through pre-visit videos and activities, a resource bag to borrow while you’re at the museum, and a post-visit interactive livestreamed event featuring digital object handling with our curators and learning team.
The package is designed to empower students to ask questions, develop their ideas, use evidence and be excited about museum collections – without the cost.
Just let us know you’d like to be part of this free package during the booking process. You can book activities and resources only, or choose a livestream date as well.
Important notes:
- The minimum adult to pupil ratios that we recommend for schools visits is: 1:6 for Early Years & KS1; 1:8 for KS2, 1:15 for KS3, KS4 & Post-16. Note this excludes adults providing 1:1 support.
- Please check your timetable carefully in advance as changes cannot be made on the day
- Your visit is likely to include seeing taxidermied (deceased) animals and a real, partially-unwrapped, mummified person. Some people may find these experiences challenging, so supporting resources for these sensitive areas will be provided for you to prepare your pupils and adult helpers in advance.
